Mr. Timmy

Our long lost pal Tim Devereux, aka “Party Time”, was in town with his parents visiting us from his new home, Hong Kong. We started things off Saturday with a pub crawl in the rocks that ended far later than it should have. Sunday we went for lunch at The Commons then some afternoon beers in Walsh Bay and then finished it up by watching the Patriots/Broncos game after work Monday.

It was also great to see our friends James and Anya who came up from Melbourne for Tim’s visit. You can tell we have been here long enough when our friends move away and are already visiting!

Another birthday celebration?

We celebrated Rob’s birthday in style – with a bunch of mates. I can only hope Rob was happy with all his birthday celebrations and pressies this year (I guess I have a lot to live up to next year…)

Linds surprised me with a trip to Adelaide, South Australia on the Queens birthday long weekend. All along I thought we were going to Berry but then she had me open an early present with Megan and Innes which (after opening several individually wrapped boxes within boxes) ended up being our plane tickets.

Adelaide was a nice country town but my favorite part was our wine tour in one of South Australia’s most famous wine regions, McLaren Vale. Unlike Hunter Valley, some of the vineyards were right on the ocean.
